He's a dumb kid with no real skills or knowledge. He's an empty suit vomiting glittering generalities. He's going to curse us with Congressman Edwards.

Also, he has a very punchable face.

He looks overmatched and out of his league.

Too many buzzwords and generic phrases and not enough substance.

Damn. That's kinda harsh. I think you kind of disqualified yourself by saying he has no knowledge or skills. Starting your own company and designing web software is a skill. Certainly eludes me. And he's got two master degrees. Maybe talk about policy and other stuff, but i don't think you can say with a serious face that he doesn't have "knowledge" or "skills"

That's him in a nut shell.

If I could run, I'd be jogging circles around this numbskull. Too bad I'll have to wait years before I'd even be age eligible. Heck, I don't even know where to begin with trying to run for something like that (as far as getting on the ballot and forming a campaign), but I sure as heck know the issues, the solutions, and how to make my opponent look like a drool dribbling jackass.

I meant at politics, I apologize for being vague. I met him before and "empty suit" was definitely the first thing that came to mind.

Rumor is that Edwin Edwards is going to run for that district (he can't run for a state office, but he can run for a federal one). If there's not a strong republican challenger that can rally the base and bring in the big-money oil and chemical industry donors, The silver zipper will have a seat in Congress handed to him on a silver platter.

I'll bet you $100 and give you 10-1 odds that won't happen in the 6th District.

i know they have gerrymandered it to make it more R friendly since 2008 but if Don Cazayoux can win it so can Edwin.

Edwin's not your typical Democrat, he has bipartisan appeal, can pander to populism with the best of them, and would have great industry support. Not to mention the huge number of voters that are too young and dumb to know what he did to this state. He would be a nightmare candidate for conservatives.

I'd take that bet depending on what republicans oppose him. If Dietzel's the best the GOP has, I'd take your easy money.

Cazayous beat Woody Jenkins without even getting over 50% of the votes and was a congressman for 7 months before Dr. Cassidy beat him by 8 points in the next election.

Republicans would not be that stupid again. Even they can't be that stupid. Can they?

I wouldn't laugh too hard. I could see some ignorant people standing in the booth thinking, "Edwards. I've heard of that cat," and pulling the lever.
