I think the obvious answers are Lance Stephenson and DeMarcus Cousins and AD.
But, I also think DeMar DeRozan deserves to be mentioned in there too. A lot of people forget about about them because they are in Toronto and not a very popular team. But DeMar has been playing very well this year. Averaging 21points, 4.6 rebs and 3.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game, all career highs.
Those #s arent bad at all. But why ive been really impressed with DeRozan is because of what hes done since the Rudy Gay trade. Since the Rudy Gay trade hes averaging 22 points, 5.3 rebs, and 4.5 assists per game.
There are only 5 players in the NBA that average 22 points, 5 rebs, and 5 assists. KD, LBJ, Curry, Harden, and Westbrook. Since the Rudy Gay trade, DeRozan has been right there in averaging those #s. Impressive. And I think he can keep it up for the rest of the year.
Who do you got?

The improvement of Anthony Davis from year 1 to year 2 is amazing. And he was damn good in year 1.

Probably between DeRozan and Stephenson....

He's turned into a superstar.

Yea AD has been great too. But, he only averaged 28 minutes a game last year. If he would have been playing 35 minutes a night like he is this year, his #s would have been way better.
And I think AD has taken the biggest step status wise. Went from a great looking rookie to pretty much an all star in 1 year.

Reggie Jackson is another really improved guy.
Demarcus Cousins has finally cut most of the bullshite and has taken his game to another level.
Arron Afflalo. One of those Morris twins

Id put Reggie Jackson up for the 6th man of the year more than the most improved. I mean he wouldnt be starting if Westbrook wasnt injured. That said, he is playing really good.
Afflalo has had a great year too.

The entire Suns roster could make a case

Ha true. Hell Gerald Green has turned into a legit NBA player, not just a dunker. Dude can shoot the 3 now.

1. Davis
2. Cousins
3. Stephenson
Seriously I love Cousins and Stephenson, but its AD by a mile.

You could easily argue Davis is the best big man in the game.

Terrence Jones (but really Eric Bledsoe)

I'm not gonna act like I follow the NBA closely, but Eric Bledsoe was having a better season before his injury IIRC. I don't know if he was the most improved player though.

Terrence Jones is a really good one as well.

I came in here to mention Jones. Turns out he is one of the best players from that draft.

Yea Jones is a player. I wanted New Orleans to take him #10 in the draft, but Monty and Rivers were connected at the hip.
Goran Dragic is a stud too.

Anthony Davis can't win. He can't. This is the kind of leap he was expected to make. He's automatically out of the running.
