Dude.

No words.

He is pulling in artists I thought the Varsity would never pull. This is the Michael Jordan days for the Varsity, ladies and gentleman.

Can't believe Moon Taxi is playing with the Revivalists!!!

For the size of the Varsity and it being so close to New Orleans, Bowen does a damn good job of booking a wide variety of genres to meet all needs. That's what a talent buyer does.

I think your expectations for the Varsity are a little high.

Still reserving "boss" status for a Tweedy solo performance. After that he could book two years of 80's cover bands and I'd still be ok with it.

"Yeah the Molly Ringwalds suck and all, but remember two years ago when Tweedy was here? This guy's awesome!"

the actual Michael Jordan days might have been when MJ was actually playing. Glen Prejean had a nice run in the 90's with Widespread, Dave Matthews, Pavement, The Jayhawks, The Breeders, Sheryl Crow, Public Enemy, Ice T, Wilco, Lucinda Williams, 311, Marilyn Manson, Danzig, White Zombie, The Flaming Lips, Butthole Surfers, Jon Spencer, Tori Amos, G Love, Counting Crows and many more i have forgotten. Glen Built the foundation for that room, which was temporarily derailed by a lack of taste and vision but is now back on track.

yep, the last time I had a great time at the Varsity was the Willie Nelson concert 2 years ago and I can't remember the last time before that. Wish I would've been around for the glory days.

I will admit that the overall calendar is better then when I was at LSU (07-11) but people on here act like the guy is the second coming of Bill Graham.

Getting the Arctic Monkeys was the most impressive move, and Gov't Mule is a good pull. Maybe he had some good alt-country or red dirt or whatever the frick it is called, I don't know - I don't frick with that shite.

You need to get off the couch. Ive seen numerous great shows at the varsity in the last 2 years.
