Why is the EPA altering state boundaries in Wyoming - and reversing over 100 years of established law? Well, apparently the city of Riverton now falls under the jurisdiction of the Wind River Indian Reservation. This, obviously, isn't sitting well with the governor's office - which is urging the EPA to reconsider its ruling and respect the rule of law.

Obama has a pin and phone and the EPA. He can do what he wants.

Apparently he can change the law of the land almost daily just by speaking things into existence!

I think if I were the governer of Wyoming I would hold a press conference telling the EPA to suck my balls and then have the state police escort all EPA employees to the nearest state border and drop them off this side of the road.

Your move FedGov.

My guess is they are trying it to see what kind of blowback they get. Look at the millions of acres the gov't 'claimed' to keep oil explorations from occurring. It was all state land.

yep. Boundaries are meant to be pushed up against. It is the other party's duty to uphold that boundary and defend it.

Obama - "I'm altering your border. Pray I don't alter it any further"

So you'd have them dropped just outside of Riverton?

Yet...the state asked for a delay pending court action...from your own link.

Does a Resident of Riverton live within the Indian Reservation or not? It makes a difference whether the laws of Wyoming are enforceable or the tribal laws. Which set of laws will the federal government recognize?

Why is the EPA even involved? By what authority do they become the master of state boundaries? Should this not fall under congressional or supreme court duties?

The fact that a government bureaucracy, with no elected officials, has this type of authority is disturbing.
