Been playing a lot the last few days. Landed a few times on Mun and Minmus. Here are some pictures.
Post your pictures. This game is great for that sometimes.
Went to Minmus with Jeb first and caught this picture of Kerbin almost in front of the sun
Jeb was excited
Took Bob to the Mun and stopped several places to get some science. One was the Polar Crater
Bob was happy with the view

Idk what this is but it looks awesome.

Jebediah Kerman planting the flag on Minmus the day after Bob Kerman conquered Mun. Kerbol in the background. Duna is proving elusive to the program.

That's a tall rocket with a landing tiny base, bravo for landing it without falling over.
I will try to remember to post a few of my screenshots. I have been to a lot of planets and their moons. Been messing with a few mods lately because vanilla has gotten dull. Kethane is a blast. Get KW Rocketry too. Few others I can't remember right now.
What I have been having a ton of fun with is launching the most absurd rockets into orbit possible. Just weird designs that should never work.

I have a rocket that is probably the most dangerous thing ever devised. I have to fly the thing manually and give it a little help but it gets to space.

You are a better kerbal than I.

I flew Jeb around to the different poles to collect science. When exiting the craft he fell through the ground never to be seen again.
NOOOOOOOOO JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEB!!!

Its funny how the individual Kerbals have literally zero character development yet you care about each and every one of them.

I like creating my own kerbals and make them really stupid and with attitudes where they just laugh about everything.
The crazy ones are the best. I try not to use Jeb/Bob/Bill anymore.

I don't use Jeb unless I'm absolutely positive the rocket is stable and I can land at my destination. I've lost a few recruits to experiments though.

I haven't been really paying attention to their skill sets but I guess I should start.
My Duna missions need some tweaking. I keep getting in a weird orbit with it where I can't quite catch it, or I miss my window. Plus I don't think I have enough fuel. Don't want to watch another tutorial as I want to figure it out.

I've been considering this game for a while. How long does it take to start having fun?

Pretty much immediately if you find botched launches as funny as I do.

Depends. If you play career mode, you have to research and get science points to "buy" new parts. This is what I play because I like the challenge of advancing my program.
Or you can play sandbox mode. It gives you all of the parts necessary to go anywhere you want in the solar system. There's a lot of trial and error. You will build rockets and some will fail but you'll eventually find a model you build right that will get you places.
It's a blast and I think you'll like it. But you have to have patience sometimes.

I've been playing the game for close to a year and still crack up when a rocket wobbles, falls off the ship or explodes. The reactions of the Kerbals are hilarious. Jeb always smiles maniacally while Bill, Bob or other Kerbonauts are screaming in terror.

Nice. How much was it going for during the steam sale?
Posted on 1/21/14 at 3:47 pm to Grim
I saw it below $10 one time. The full priced game is something like $35

can I play this on my macbook pro?

Yep. That's what I'm playing it on.
