Not the first time they lost out on a bidding war over a coach

But we were going to pay DC 1 million

Don't think so.
They couldn't even out bid MSU for Collins.
MSU outbidding FSU to keep a coach?
Big time.

Which makes me think Alabama could pay more than FSU could fathom for Fisher when Saban does retire. It would be a homecoming for Fisher's family.

God, I remember this...which 'special' poster said that. To his credit, he was adamant about it.

AU fans are absolutely ridiculous. I made one post saying there was a rumor he could make close to a million dollars. That's it, one post, over a year ago. And with how much Auburn shells out for their coaches and assistants, it's not outside the realm of possibility (albeit, very unlikely). But I'm not shocked some AU fans lack the ability to comprehend what they're reading (or just don't understand the definition of "rumor").
And as far as Pruitt, FSU's AD 100% matched the UGA offer. We weren't outbid by MSU, FSU just didn't see that Collins's services would be worth > 575/600k.

Well we remember things differently...if it was you like others have said, you clearly made an impression which 'one post' is unlikely to do. Being wrong isnt' the end of the world.

just take a ball busting like a man, no one cares about your justification for why you were spouting out baseless bullshite. It's not personal and nothing to get bent out of shape about.

I actually find it hilarious that AU fans are so obsessed over one of my posts. I guess that's what happens when you live in Alabama and have nothing else to do.

They're from Birmingham and Samford grads, unless it's extended family. But at that rate, I'm sure some of his wife's family are Alabama grads as well.

Uh huh, keep telling yourself that. Your program was all but broke just a year ago.

Yes, running a small deficit two years ago = broke. I hope you don't own a business

well his wife is an Auburn grad and I am pretty sure there are several others in the close family that are. Not that its a big issue, when it comes to career.
