Someone in the know please explain this to me. I want to get a season parking pass. TAF tells me there is a waiting list that goes by the point system; a couple years ago a TAF member told me they only have a few spots reserved for season passes. I know a season ticket holder (not a high roller) who gets one in alex box for the season every year.

With all the yellow lots shown; is it easy to get reserved spots on campus? I have applied for next year.

Does TAF not have control of all these lots? They made it sound like they only have access to a couple lots.

Yes, TAF has control of parking and it does go according to point system. But people renew every year. Which means, get on waiting list and hope some one non- renews. There are a few that come available each yr.

Also, there is a new Alex Box lot opening this yr with some 200 + spots up for grabs.

Does it reset every year and go by the priority point system, or once you get a pass its yours to keep?

Do you get the same spot/lot every year or do you get shuffled around based on your ranking?

What is the cost? Is it $40 a game?

Once you get the pass its yours to keep as long as you keep paying...same lot every year.

Once you get pass, yours for life, provided you renew & pay. Get the same lot, and assigned # if your lot has numbered spaces. Will get opportunity to apply for upgrade but no guarantees. Cost is $300 per yr if I remember correctly which works out to a lil over $40 for a seven game season. But no worries about getting a spot each game. If you decide to sell your tickets you can also sell your parking pass as they come just like the tickets, individual pass for each game, color coded.

Stay the same lot as long as maintain TAF ranking current; Lot 305 is $300 plus $100 Tradition. This is really the best deal of the system to park reasonable walk and have never been denied a spot there. For the lesser games I can leave my house in NO at 4PM and park by 6PM. I may have some games for sale this coming year since will be looking to split parking with.

Some lots are not yours for life, but instead are done on a yearly basis.

There is plenty of free parking right on campus behind the Law Center and University High. Never have a problem finding a spot there. Just don't get there an hour before kick-off.

Point system is BS. We lost our 2nd bus pass in 102.

Good thing we ave 2 car spots in 101, and a bus in 401 also.

That little tidbit, btw, should tell you how even at the top of the list you get screwed on parking passes.
