At this point, the War on Drugs is a result of institutional inertia.

I don't know what the impetus is to stop that inertia.

Well, it's much less dangerous, but that's a good start. Legalization will happen across the country sooner than most think.

I agree whole heartly with him, but yeah you're right he doesn't throw something out that hasn't been well focus group tested first, I doubt he even knows how to think independent of his female advisers.

Holy shite.

Did the truth just actually dare to leave his mouth?

Did he actually speak the truth?

I'm floored!!

I am somewhat apathetic on this topic, however I have to ask: How are the dangers of impairment with pot any different than the dangers with alcohol? Isn't under the influence, under the influence?

I have experience with both, and to be honest, weed made me more focused at the task at hand. That's not to say it's not an impairment, but it's not near the level or frequency of alcohol. In fact, if I smoked weed, I didn't want to go anywhere.

A study has been posted here in the past that shows drivers impaired by THC are less dangerous than drivers impaired by alcohol. Maybe somebody has a link to it.

He's actually right and it's not even close. Pot is MUCH less harmless than tobacco, alcohol, and just about every other recreational drug. And science backs this up.
