Looking at the stats, he had a similar amount of carries as blue and hilliard, but he did way more with the carries he had. His YPC was very impressive.
How good can he be for us next year? Can he be a featured back? Or is he better as a back up like he was this year?
I think he is a really good back, he is explosive, shifty, decently fast, and runs really hard.
Terrence Magee stats: 86 att 626 yards 7.3 ypc 8 tds

Same role behind LF. He's a great change of pace back. More slot receiver would be good for him though

He hits the hole really fast and hard. He's best used on a worn down defense. He will be "two" in the 1-2 punch between he and Fournette with the other backs being used when needed.

LF and him are gonna be a great 1 2 punch

I think Magee will get the ball more early to ease LF into the season

Magee isnt a change of pace back... hes over 215lbs. And hes not a slot WR either.

Hes a RB, and a complete RB at that. Hes a 1 cut, get up field type of RB that can catch the ball out of the backfield.

Will have a bigger role than this past year. He and LF will both have over 150 carries.

Magee will get majority of carries early on to ease LF in, then itll be a fairly even split.

Sorry watchin the game and lost track of what I was typing. "Screen" receiver not slot. And yes he is a change of pace back. That was his role this year

I would love more screens in our offense in general, regardless of who is at RB.

And no Magee wasnt a change of page back. His role was back up to Hill. That doesnt make him a change of pace back.

We didnt run anything different with Magee than we did with Hill. We didnt use him any differently.

Trindon Holliday was a change of pace back. there's a difference. It's generally a RB that isn't suited to carry a full work load.

Lester we finally agree

A change of pace back is a guy with a diff skill set than your other backs. Youre watching the Broncos vs Pats game.... Vereen is a change of pace back. They use him completely diff than they do Blount or Ridley.

We used Magee the same we use all our RBs.

TM will be the starter to begin the season even though LF may have more carries at the end. I think 14 will have a nice NFL career a lot like pierre Thomas.

It's good to have two backs. It makes the D prepare for different running styles. Some are bruisers, slashers, guys with great burst, moves, stiff arms ect...

Doesn't mean a change is always a change of pace.

Magee isn't a guy to carry the load, but Fournette wearing teams down will certainly help Magee's carries look good. I think Hill really helped Magee this year.

Running order will be...

1a)Kenny Hillard(obvious Les Miles reasons)
1b)Fornette
2)Magee

Maybe we will see some Melvin Jones as a "Hester" style fullback.

Haha ok....

No he wont. Magee might have more carries than LF, and if he does it wont be by that much. Thats it.

No way shape or form was Magee used as a change of page back this year. What plays were used when Magee was in the game to lead people to say this I don't know. Honestly many games this year he was more effective than hill. Magee may be the most underrated player at lsu in recent memory.
