That's what I'm saying. And we were looking at a real body. She's got one of the best natural bodies that I have ever seen.

My mom is watching both episodes with us right now, the first thing she says is, "Pfft, you can't buy Lone Star beer in Louisiana."

This is one of the better discussion threads.
Lots of good theories in it.
It really is. I've enjoyed reading the stuff about the King in Yellow.

She would never say that.
She thinks Woody is the killer.

Ok, about a month late on this thread but heck I just started watching the show on demand. Some thoughts:
- I am hardly ever a contrarian but I do not think AD's tits were perfect or a 10. Just a little on the flabby side. I give them a 9.25. Now dat arse - that was sweet indeed.
- Lonestar beer? Meh. I didn't even notice what WH and his father in law were drinking. But if it bothered somebody up-thread, than it bothered him. I was kind of shocked so many people jumped on that guy for expressing his opinion on the matter.
- I thought MM was great in these first two episodes. Really has taken his craft to another level. Both young Rust and old Rust are great characters.
- I have to confess that there were maybe one or two scenes in the first two eps that I was briefly taken out of the movie by WH (in the intereview scenes, not the actual flashback stuff) where I thought - that's Woody Harrelson trying to get x emotion across.
- Other than that I think it's an awesome show. The title is kind of lame (seems like they were going for a Pulp Fiction kind of feel but really the title does not convey the quality of the show). Heck, I almost passed it up thinking a show with that name might be kinda cheesy.
- Location shooting and camera work was spectacular.

The name True Detective is generic by design, I think. Pizzolatto explains the reasoning behind the name in an interview, I don't have a link to the article tho.
