My dog, Abby, ran out of the open gate about 530ish and took off. Old Jeff subdivision. Antioch side. If you see an older, grey haired, about 25lbs, in need of a haircut, schnauzer type running loose please hit me up here or holmesbr2@gmail.com

I read that you can leave a worn shirt (with your scent on it) near where you last saw him, with a bowl of water. No food. Also, a toy or two of his. He will get the scent and come back. Check it every hour or so.

Never tried it, but might work?

Maybe set up traps all around the neighborhood with a worn shirt in each one

Call the pound just in case he got picked up. They can tell you where they picked up animals and the breed etc. They only keep animals for 3 days or so before the euthanize them so I would call soon.

No they don't. If it is a half decent dog they deem it adoptable and keep it. If there is no room one that's been there a while gets euthanized. Sad situation.

Well, Abby wandered back to the house this afternoon. She had a 1 foot long leash attached to her collar so I guess the people that had her left their gate open also.

RE: the shirt traps--I did put her bed and my shirt on my gate so I cant rule that out for her return. Myth--Plausible?
