I've had two hole in ones but no albatrosses. Had a buddy today who was short one rotation in getting one.

No aces, but one albatross. Driver, 3 wood to a 5 that was playing about 515. This was 25 years ago. The bad thing was the fairway had a significant drop to the green about 100 yards out so I didn't see it go in.

Missed one by about 3 inches. Stopped about 3 foot past for an easy eagle.

I'd have to imagine that rarely an albatross is seen by the player bc of the distance

I missed holing out on one by about 18 inches. It wasn't a long par 5, but the drive was up and over a hill. If you hit it straight and got it over the hill it would run like a mofo. The second shot was about 200 (tiger ryno gap wedge) downhill. Just missed flying it in. That was at Ft. Jackson golf course in Columbia SC

I did have an ace at that goat ranch right across the river in West Monroe. It was like a 110 yard par 3. One hopped it in the hole.

On some holes it's quite possible. I saw my buddy sink a 200 yarder on a long par 4. It was a bit downhill and the you could see it go in plain as day. Could have seen it from 100 more yards out with the same angle.

#7 536 yard par 5 at Calvert Crossing. Hit a driver to 212 left. Hit a 4 hybrid and it looked different than any other shot I've hit before. Low trajectory, but not skulled. Skips...skips...lands in hole. The twins were 5 at the time. I scream, "Holy crap that just went in!!!!" One of them replies, "That was way easier, you should just do that every time Daddy."

After picking up a golf club that day for the very first time in his life, the Dear Leader of the Democratic People's Republic of North Korea fired a 38-under-par round of 34 at Pyongyang. According to the 17 security guards who observed the performance, the score included an amazing 11 aces. Naturally, the event was dutifully reported to the North Korean masses by the state news agency.

We're talking double eagle right?

Never had one of those. I'm also not gay enough to call it an albatross if I ever do

Beaverfever. If I reading that correctly it sounds like he made an eagle.

Nope. Have two HIO, but never an albatross.

Closest I came was a drawn hybrid that hit perfect about 5 ft short. It took the break and looked like it had enough speed, then just abruptly stopped.

Turned out the guys on the next tee in front of us watching all this didn't put the flag stick in all the way, and it was leaning forward, my ball was resting up against it, but was outside the hole...

I came within a foot from one on #9 at LSU a couple of years ago.
Hit a driver, then 8 iron that buzzed the cup but didn't drop.

I shot one once, but then all sorts of bad things started happening and my crew hung it around my neck.
