Jeff Grimes. What's the Deal?

Has he been hired or not. No Press Conference, no news, just a lot of smoke. Scott from DD said he expected a Presser today.
Indecision? Second thoughts? Premature reporting?
Any Ideas?

Probably has to do with state jobs having to be posted for a set number of days before an official hire can be made.

Probably recruiting. When a staff is short a position coach the HC is allowed more recruiting time. I dont know if this is what is going on. It does fit, though.

Currently, the staff has the maximum amount of coaches out recruiting (Kragthorpe).
Announcement next week, with Kelly visiting on the weekend.

He's on campus

Didn't Miles do the same thing last year with Cam and hold off the official hiring so he could recruit more?

He hired but this way he can sneak around and recruit without other schools knowing a definite answer to if he is hired or not.

JG has no idea of the type recruits LSU wants in term of the system LSU will run with the OL loses, so announcing his official hire would do no good towards recruiting visits. All the recruits know who the OL coach will be.
Until he is hired officially, CLM gets extra visits, but I am not sure that excludes JG from accompanying CLM since technically he is "unemployed" if he already resigned from VT.
