Your quote above is actually a fraction of what I typed. It is taken out of context so that you can spin it this way. I will not legitimize your spin by arguing about it. Consider the whole post/point, or you're basically lying.

The fact is that while I did type the words "that if you oppose abortion rights and are anti-gay, then you have no place in this country," I did not say that if you oppose abortion rights and are anti-gay, then you have no place in this country.

Because I don't want to be associated with anyone who is ok with the vacuuming up of baby brains.

So you said it, but you didn't really say it at all. Glad you cleared up your own mind of what you typed for you to twist it around.

Talk about splitting hairs.

Just stand by your comments, it's easier than the approach your trying to take.

It's exactly what I'm doing. What I won't stand by is CITWTT's spin.

What exactly is the difference then because earlier you were agreeing with me on the stupidity of the comments by Cuomo? I am not attacking you but want you to explain carefully your position and intention because we are all a bit confused.

TIA

While it is reasonable to say that if you oppose abortion rights and are anti-gay, then you have no place in this country, I question the reasonability of the mentioning of assault weapons because I see that movement on the left as dishonest, manipulative, and too far left for my liking.
I am referring to someone else having said that if you oppose abortion rights and are anti-gay, then you have no place in this country. I am not presenting, as my stance, that if you oppose abortion rights and are anti-gay, then you have no place in this country.

There are countless examples in recent history of politicians and civilians alike saying, "If you don't like ______ in the Constitution, maybe you need to leave this country." It's silly rhetoric I suppose, but it isn't anything near the heresy that the people in this thread are pretending it to be, and CITWTT's taking my quote out of context is an example of the collective overreaction.

CITWTT took my quote out of context and attributed my dependent clause referencing Cuomo's take and attributed Cuomo's opinion to me, and he did so unfairly. Here was his quote of me:
quote:

that if you oppose abortion rights and are anti-gay, then you have no place in this country
Yes, I typed these very words in reference to something that someone else said. I in no way presented it as my opinion.

Someone who disagrees with Supreme Court precedent has no place in the country? What are your thoughts re citizens united? If you are against the decision you must be anti constitution.

Name the Texas governor, and link to what he said or stop lying.

And BTW, exactly when did Pro Life, Pro 2nd amendment, and/or people who believe in traditional marriage become EXTREME POINTS OF VIEW at any place in this country, even New York?

At least the NY high priest of PC orthodoxy is there to tell us heretics to stay away,
lest we unknowingly wander into his territory and get arrested for free speech, or something extreme like that.

Better watch your extremities bucko. New York doesn't take kindly to dissenting opinions like yours anymore.
