Have salmon marinating in some homemade pesto right now. Will cook in a pan and top with capers.

Made a pretty pasta salad:
The meat is a German bologna from City Pork. So good.

I don't know if we will eat that tonight.

And will likely do a veggie too.

I do too! Jones and I were playing around in the grocery store buying random stuff the other day and he grabbed a bag of noodles called Wacky Noodles or something. It was the multi-color veggie ones, so I decided pasta salad was the best way to use them.

Sweet potato grits and monte cristo sandwiches here.

I am loving the sweet potato grits, but it is not pic tutorial worthy.... bake sweet potatoes, separate from skin, mash into a pot of cooked grits. Yum.

The hottie and I are addicted to them

I stumbled upon this recipe on a hodge podge supper. Maybe it has done before but I made grits and baked sweet potatoes as sides one night and I merged them together. Turns out to be the best grits ever.

Salt and sugar cured country ham, red eye gravy, mashed potatoes, black eyed peas and mixed greens with homemade pepper sauce. The duck club rocks...as does the Knob Creek and the Cabernet .
