What do people think about Icahn industries? (IEP) Don't know where else to ask this but it is down about 40-50$ from its peak. Solid dividend and Icahn seems to know what he is doing
I bring it up because Paypal to me seems like an interesting future competitor to Visa through mobile payments. If they can get that business going it would be legit

I completely agree - when Google came out with Google Wallet, I knew Paypal was a serious long-term business model - particularly for online business. I haven't done due diligence in IEP, but I'll look at it and maybe check back into this thread.

I think Icahn is right that PayPal needs to spinoff and do its own thing from Ebay. They are holding it back from realizing its potential.
