Glad to see it back.

Prior to Katrina, this place had it all. (Grocery store, dentist office, recording studio)

quote:

On Friday, Boudreaux officially opened the doors of the store, surrounded by Mayor Mitch Landrieu, other city leaders, and bankers and developers who helped finance the $8 million renovation. A waiting line of customers, grocery carts in hand, snaked around the circular building.

This is the only store in that area a-hole. She probably shopped there her whole life.

He shows up every day all over the city for various events. It's not just a photo op thing for him.

I love seeing neighborhood stores like this making a comeback.

The new Whole Foods on Broad Street opens in February. Never thought I would use Broad and WF in the same sentence. That project would have never happened without the new hospitals and the thousands of medical salaries being created there. The WF will be just great for that area.

I'm glad to see the store open back up in an area I work in. That's great, but that picture is a joke for one reason. I apologize for calling you an a-hole

Dude is running for reelection. Everything is a photo-op at this point.

Sorry to hijack your thread. I'm going to jump out before I get myself in trouble.
Happy anytime a part of my city moves another step forward.

Carry on

Because the mayor of a city is at an opening of something that has been gone since Katrina? What do you expect him to do? Wouldn't it have been worse if he wasn't there? Of course he is going to take a pic with a crying woman. It's politics and everyone does it.

You don't know Mitch or his family very well if you think he doesn't care about those people and their neighborhoods.
