pochettino said over the summer he would consider leaving the club if cortese were to go. i think he is one of the better managers in the league and i like him at saints but with this news i wonder if he bolts for spain and/or another club if there is something available.

Pochettino could stay and work wonders with the youth Southampton have available, but I think their academy grads will slowly be picked off one by one, starting with Shaw. I think Pochettino leaves for a bigger job, because he's proven to be a good manager at Espanyol and Southampton.

BBC says at least one top player has an exit clause linked with Cortese leaving the club.

Meanwhile, Rickie Lambert is being linked to West Ham and Luke Shaw to a big money move to Machester United, City or Chelsea.

Hell, if Arsene is looking for a backup striker or even competition for Giroud, I'd take Lambert.

i was assuming Luke Shaw was the one linked to Cortese just because he's stuck around for a couple years longer than most "ENGLAND'S BRIGHTEST NEW STAR" prospects do.

I was going to post this a couple days ago, terrible for Southampton fans

they have a coach, very good director, and a team who will be tough to beat every week, and now it looks like it could all come crumbling down.

If i had the Money, it would be a great opportunity, EPL tv revenue, and u bring back cortese, and keep investing in youth and young players.

pochettino now saying he will leave, if his players are sold, in a fire type sale.

Owners are going to make a fortune off the club, they bought them for a bargain basement deal, compared to what they will get. Why kill something that is going in the right direction, and under a very good, young head coach???

They were making serious strides towards Champions' League qualification this year, but more with an eye toward next year or the year after. They were building, with young, well-spotted talent.

This is ate up with the dumbass.

Sounds like Cortese is linked to a group who will be trying to buy Southampton.(Chinese Billionaire)

The Woman who owns them, wants to get out, so they are looking to sell.

It would be a shame to watch it get dismantled, they are doing it the right way, not like Glory Whores, aka Man City and Chelsea.

Gaston Ramirez's injury cost them some cash for a player that I'm not sure has featured that much. He seemed set for a move back to Serie A before the injury.

AC Milan would do well to hire Cortese.
