Depends on how rough you are with your phone. I have the Apple leather case in black because it's slim and doesn't show dirt/grime. I like it, but if you drop your phone more than a couple times a month I wouldn't recommend it.

Works well, but can't submerse for extended periods of time. Would be fine if you dropped in a puddle or spilled a drink, but wouldn't work if you drop out of duck blind.

I don't use a case but I would be interested in the Mophie but I don't wanna drop that much on a case.

I do not recommend the life proof. Never dropped mine or had water damage. In and out my pocket, all the rubber trim wears away resulting in the screen protector getting pulled off. Use warranty claim, only want to send me a front part instead of a whole new one, say two days and it takes a week.
And people complain when they call me, echo and cant hear well.

Me neither until realized that the lack of a case was the reason for having lost two separate iphones. Without a case the phone tends to slide out of my pocket. Left one in a cab and another on a plane.
