So I get pulled over today!

Cop approaches and asks for ID and papers. I tell him, "for your safety I want you to know there are two pistols in console". He asks for pistols, unloads them and then takes them to his car. He was nice but why did he take pistols? I have never had a cop ask me for them once I tell him I have them.

I could see him wanting to secure them while he takes care of the rest of his business...and the easiest way for him to do that is to put them in his car...
that would have unnerved me a little, but as long as he brought them back when done, I suppose I don't have a problem with it...
