I just want to say I agree with Choup here. When I used words like weird and pathology, it honestly was descriptive. It was NOT a characterization of you personally.

I have no issue with Choup or Russian. I enjoyed the conversation with Choup and I understand HIS feelings and thoughts on this issue.

My ONLY "issue" in this thread was that I perceived a desire to talk happy people into being unhappy. THAT is the "weird" part.

Just to be clear, I'm not the guy that tweeted "3 and out U". People can get mad at me because I was defending his point, but I didn't make the original comment, nor start the thread. There have been many threads on this topic in the last week. I don't participate in every one of them, I just so happen to get very involved in this one. It's not my goal to fight about it in every thread that pops up, which is a lot of them.

Stop carrying water for a negative statement. You added plenty of dumb justification.

Choupique is just a miserable little bitch, who thinks its awesome to chase tail in college while poor when in actuality he was never poor....

However when actual kids whonwere poor caN make 400k even for just one year of life, he has a problem with that because they arent ready.

He lacks insight on the subject, speaks only from emotion, and is an embarrassment to the rant.

17 nfl footballers in 3 years and he thinks we have a problem. He should move to college station and become an aggie because they share the same beliefs he does which is a desire to brag about college life and lack nfl talent.

We havent lost a regular season out of conference game since 2002 for this exact reason.

Did anybody else think this was in reference to our offense?

This has been the been talking point with the fanbase for awhile now. I agree that we have an abnormal amount of guys leave that imo are NOT ready for the league and could use another year...but to each his own.

Nothing to be done to really change that culture but what we can do is take it and run in recruiting. We're an Nfl factory at this point and statistically give players a better shot at reaching that level. What they do after is on them, but I'd sure as shite be selling them on playing early and making millions by the age of 21 if I'm the coaches

The offense that lead the nation in 3rd down conversion percentage?

Makes sense.

I've got a solution: Quit recruiting players from impoverished backgrounds, then you won't have to hear Freak's reasoning of his "little girl living in the Projects."
Of course, we won't win anything, but at least it'll stop all the whining about guys leaving early.

It doesn't look like a problem at face value. But if you look at results and comparable programs, then there may be more to it. Is that not a fair point?

The results the past 2 years are chic-fil-a loss and outback.

The results are multiple guys leaving even though their not top round picks. (This has more to do with the CBA, but still, why haven't other programs seen this amount of attrition?)

I think those are fair questions.

I'm not sure exactly why our fans think that just because LSU had NFL talent on the team, we should have automatically won BCS bowls both years. Because we didn't go to the National Championship we have some underlying problem (which I assume most on here are insinuating is Miles being unable to coach this NFL talent).

What exactly did Baylor win in 2011 when they had 5 guys get drafted by the NFL, including 2 first rounders (one of which won the Heisman trophy)? They also had Terrance Williams on that team who was a 3rd Round pick the next year.
So basically in 2011 Baylor had on offense alone:
1. RG3 - 1st Round
2. Kendall Wright (WR) - 1st Round
3. Terrance Williams (WR) - 3rd Round - 2013
4. Terrance Ganaway (RB) - 6th Round
5. Phillip Blake (OL) - 4th Round
6. Robert Griffin (OL) - 6th Round

Sounds pretty damn similar to what we are losing on offense.

And since everyone likes to count players who got kicked off the team - Josh Gordon - WR - Supplemental Draft

What exactly does Baylor have to show for that? An Alamo Bowl win.

NFL players being on a college team does not automatically mean that a team should go undefeated and win the National Championship or the coaching staff can't coach kids.

1st down, Hillard carries off tackle for 2 yds.

2nd down, Magee carries up the middle for 7 yds.

3rd down, Fournette carries off tackle, breaks a tackle, and takes it to the house for 6.

3 and out. Every time.

It's pretty amazing that someone can mention the topic about LSU losing players at an abnormal rate and that person get slammed over and over...Or mention anything that can appear to be a problem and get slammed. Its as if the program is completely 100% perfect and there's no room for improvement. Why do people get slammed for bringing up topics that, if they are corrected, could result in an even better program? Nega tiger, rantard, you didn't even go to LSU so you can't comment, Les is great, we send players to the NFL, nothing wrong here, we have the worst fan base ever even though i've never left the state in my life, i know this to be true......blah blah ....wonder twin powers unite!!! form of the largest sunshine pumper in the world!

Because the opposite thinking is irrational.......either you don't want LSU to send players to the NFL or you do.

If you want players to stay for 4 years then they likely have marginal skill or come from a set of circumstance that doesn't warrant the need for a paycheck.

Otherwise, LSU has sent more players to the NFL who land JOBS on rosters(54 *tied for 1st among all school) than anybody.........so what exactly is the problem?

Underachievement with the program.....If we send more than most if not anyone, then why does that not translate into better play on the field?

Yes 10 wins...i know...but 10 wins is like a Honda Accord...everyone has one.

Losing that kind of talent depth hurts period. It makes it very hard to win championships period, and I am not bashing just looking at the real world.

Was that my argument? No. I said nothing of national championships. And I did not only mention the bowl games. Putting words in my mouth and ignoring half the argument is the best you can do?
