Yeah OK.

Underachievement with the program.....If we send more than most if not anyone, then why does that not translate into better play on the field?

You don't even have a clue........Ranking in the top 15 and pumping out NFL football players isn't under achieving........in 2011 we played for a title, in 2012 we came 45 secs from it, in 2013 we were young on defense.

It's all so fricking histerical.

Was that my argument? No. I said nothing of national championships. And I did not only mention the bowl games. Putting words in my mouth and ignoring half the argument is the best you can do?

Someone's a sensitive little girl. I used your quote but the comment was directed at everyone in the thread who has been saying all we have to show is an Outback Bowl trophy. Sorry to bunch your little panties up.

My post he responded to was simply to point out that these are fair question and deserve discussion. And his response to my point wasn't convincing. I see nothing I said that would make you call me names.

You accuse me of "putting words in your mouth". I did no such thing. I used a direct quote from you which has been used by many in this thread. Many have said "17 players and all we have is an outback trophy". Clearly the posters saying that believe we should have more than that, aka BCS bowls. It's ridiculous to think that just because we have some NFL players on our roster (even if its a few more than Bama) we should win more games than we do.

I do agree that we can't expect BCS every year with this apparent talent. But I think it's a fair question to ask "should" we be?

Just like people say we should have beaten Ole miss and Georgia. Our talent says we should have and had we, there's your BCS game. It's not so ridiculous as you make it out to be.

The perception is that either LSU players overvalue their ability, or that they are that talented, but they are not coached well in college. Sorry guys, but that is the perception around the country.

Well, it's not the perception of NFL scouts, GM's, and coaches:

I heard cha-ching (and my fingers turned green) when I posted the above link.

...and that perception isn't founded by their play on the field:

NFL All-Rookie Team...Most in the SEC

So, maybe it's just your perception.

It's ridiculous to "expect" it. Talent can have a bad game (Ole Miss). It happens. Every team is talented. Are we probably more talented? Sure. But having more talent does not always mean you should win or else there's some horrible underlying problem. Guys simply have off nights sometimes.

Meh, losing 6 games the past two years and losing 3/5 bowl games doesn't really jive with having more than double the early entrants the past two years as the next closest teams and having the most NFL players. Something isn't adding up.

Sure, you can have an off night. But losing to Bama 3 times in a row, losing to Clemson, Ole Miss, struggling big time with Arkansas both years just doesn't scream great coaching to me.

As Mark Twain famously said, "There are three kinds of lies. There are ordinary lies, there are damnable lies, and there are statistics."
This Feldman clown can't just point to last year (when there was an extraordinary number of early departures), because that's old news. In order to generate "new" news, he takes the 7 leaving this year (not all that extraordinary, in the context of programs like LSU), and combines it with last year's exodus to come up with the "staggering" statistic. It's bullshite. Maybe there is an issue other than the talent level we recruit. But nonsense like this 2-year total is irrelevant to whatever it may be.

At this point, do you know of another school in the NCAA that has more early departures than LSU?

Last year was the anomaly.

This year is a pretty standard amount of early declarers for a team with as much talent as LSU.

Stop combining the two. Its fricking retarded.

First off. Pretty sure it's 6.
1. Beckham
2. Landry
3. Hill
4. Turner
5. Ferguson
6. Freak

No, but I can name several that have 4 and 5. Is there really some huge catastrophic difference between 4 or 5 players and 6. And at least 3 of ours received a 1-2 round grade. Why would they stay?

In college football, when your program reaches a point when you're constantly having to replace top-tier talent that left for the NFL early, that's when you know you've made it.

LSU head coach Les Miles has clearly made it.

In what has become one of the rites of the offseason, The Mad Hatter is again facing the challenge of replacing a bevy of talented players who decided to leave Baton Rouge early in favor of the NFL.

This is a quote from an article I just found. Hopefully that retard Choup or whatever the hell his name is will see this since he thought we were being mocked nationally.

Sounds like an onion article.

You make decent points sometimes. But when you consistently resort to unwarranted insults, you come off as a bitch. And then that's what people focus on instead of content. "Oh look, this smug a-hole can't just make a point. He has to act like an ebadass in the process."

It's pretty amazing that someone can mention the topic about LSU losing players at an abnormal rate and that person get slammed over and over...Or mention anything that can appear to be a problem and get slammed.
Yea, if they did that they wouldn't get slammed.

Instead they come on here like whinny bitches and they get what they deserve.

Speaking of acting like an ebadass

Problem is, I really don't care what my "reputation" is on this site. I don't get my kicks in life out of having e-friends on an anonymous message board. I get on it when I'm bored at work and if there's something on here that's retarded I'm going to call a spade a spade. I make good points because I use facts. I don't just make shite up and spew it like its the gospel. You're typically a pretty level headed guy and I know you know baseball, so I don't think you are a retard FYI, but about 90% on this site most definitely are.
