Louisiana has made tremendous strides in the past 2-3 years in the number of breweries now distributing to Louisiana. I was curious, what is coming up for 2014. I know Bmoney usually has the inside scoop.

2013 we saw:
New Belgium
Goose Island
Southern Tier
Sweetwater
The Bruery

2014:
Terrapin
Santa Fe
???

Anyone know of any additional breweries decided to expand here this year?

2014 Upcoming Brewery List
Confirmed:

Terrapin
Santa Fe
Crooked Letter (in new orleans on tap only)

Verbal:
Ballast Point

Lean:
Lagunitas
Oskar Blues

Rumors:
Boulevard
Southern Prohibition Brewing

Hopefuls:
Firestone Walker
Dogfish Head

I have zero scoop on this, but I wouldn't be surprised if we got Boulevard since InBev? bought them out.

Oooh, this could be a possibility. They did just open up a brewery in NC, i believe.

and no, DFH does not distribute here. Could be a possibility though, if they see the trend of other breweries coming here.

Hopefully we get Oskar Blues too. I don't see how we don't have it, if Alabama get it.

We are supposed to be getting Ballast Point early this year sometime and I know Bmoney talked to Oskar Blues and they seemed like maybe something was in the works. The guys at NOLA said that Lagunitas is in the works, I think they are supposed to be finishing a new brewhouse or something soon.

Probably why Goose Island showed up.

Oskar Blues and Terrapin would be great additions.

Yuengling makes me laugh.

I wish we could get Covington over here.

Going to Nashville in Feb. Any beer worth bringing back that we can't get in BR?

Firestone Walker is #1 on my realistic wish list.

Ballast Point is supposed to arrive this year. And we've been hearing Lagunitas for the longest.

Duvel bought them. Duvel also owns Ommegang. Plans are to expand Boulevard's distribution according to an Ommegang marketing rep on Reddit. He didn't say a timeline, though.

Lagunitas is in the process of building a brewery in Chicago. It's New Belgium and Sierra Nevada who are building in Asheville. The owner of Lagunitas got all pissy when NB took some tax incentives to open up in Asheville.
