I'm not either but Jazz Fest crowds isn't a bad crowd. It's manageable.

Just have to know what you're doing and when to arrive. People show up at 4:30 in the afternoon to see the headliners and then complain about the crowds and how they can't get close to the stage.

This lineup does nothing for me. Fogerty and Vampire Weekend are the only two that hold my attention even a little bit.

You must be a blast to hang out with.

I prefer to just do this. Might as well make a day of it.

And I am a blast to hang out with. I couldn't care less who's playing. All I do is sit in my chair, eat, drink beer and watch all the sluts walk by.

I couldn't agree more. Every jazz fest I line my pockets with ziplock bags of natural light and pop-tarts (so I don't have to pay too much for food and booze). Then I find a nice spot out of the way, plug in my iPod (nothing but the Eagles greatest hits all day for this guy, frick that artsy crap), and just stare at girls through my sunglasses and bro-dap my podnuhs. THAT'S what jazz fest is all about.

same here but it's not always possible for me since I have a son that plays baseball and usually has a game or something Saturday mornings. We check the kids out of school on the Fridays and take them with us, but the weekends are only for the adults.

You put natty in ziplock bags and then put it in your pocket?

Remember he used to perform with Alison Krauss?

Exactly why I'm not excited to see him again. I was not expecting that performance.

Santana sounds like the best one for me. Clapton's old, Springsteen is dull, there's no way to see Phish through all of the doobie smoke, Arcade Fire is gay, I have no clue who Foster the People is, Public Enemy and Robin Thicke are TPOS, and Christina Aguilera is a very gifted vocalist who I have no desire to see at Jazz Fest. I hope they add a couple good rock bands before Fest kicks off.
