I've never had Dish but I did have Direct TV and you're good as long as it never rains or gets cloudy.....then you're fricked.

It's gotten much better recently. They have more satellites or something transmitting signals now than before

I saw nay. When it rains hard enough, you are watching black screens. They claim to have new dishes that prevents the signal from breaking up in rain, but thats a lie. It happens all the time at my rents house and they only got dish last year.

It has to be better than U-Verse. U-Verse is awful.

I've had both Dish and DirecTV. Dish holds up much better in bad weather and they aren't as stubborn as DirecTV on channel negotiations. For example, Dish is already finalizing a deal for the SEC Network while DirecTV isn't doing shite

In FLA it was terrible. I switched to Brighthouse 3 1/2 yrs ago and then Fios about a year ago. I pay a little more but get more.

We had a local digital cable provider. They sold out to a company called New Wave located in like Minnesota. So with all the freezing weather up north there computers we down and unable to process payments so the just shut people's shite off. Plus the Internet sucks cocknballs.

They lost AMC a year or so ago and when I went to watch TWD I was pissed...called and they bent over backwards to keep me...offered buying me the entire season and gave me a $10 a month credit for a year. a week later they reached an agreement with AMC

Had Direct and Dish.

Direct more channels I like. Dish better when it rains. Direct, can go out if a bird flies by.

if you are going satellite i would definitely go directv. always preferred them over dish and have had both. dont listen to people who says the signal goes out if it rains. it takes a lot to make a signal go out and if it does its not for long.

the fact is satellite providers have less "down time" every year than cable providers do. thats a fact.

Same here as well. I lost power once and thought it was a storm. Turned out my lab puppy found a piece of cable within his reach and well, you can figure it out.
Directv is awesome in my book.
