Crust seems to be the same to me. The sauce is definitely different. You can tell it's made by cooking down fresh tomatoes. It's a lot chunkier than it use to be.

I enjoyed the pizza then, and I enjoy it now. I don't think there's a huge change in it. The new decor is great and hopefully Barry's attitude and demeanor can be fixed. I think he said he's looking to hire a few more people to help keep up pace, since business has been so booming since the show. That's what is needed.

Are there some new items added to the menu?

Like a veal parm or chick parm?

I tried to go yesterday and it was slammed. Very happy for them. The owner has always been very nice to me but I'm a regular.

I'll probably order a pizza tonight and will report back.

Some new items, but I have tunnel vision and focus entirely on the pizza.

Here's a partial pic of the new menu:

Did the size of the pizza decrease or did they lower the prices?

All the pizzas are one size now, which is the large. Seems to be a good value to me. Got a margherita last night for the wife and me, and we still have half of it left.

And the garlic knots are still being made, even if not listed on the menu.

Nice. I agree.

Not first date material, but I did like the garlic knots

Don't know, but Chef Robert ain't about lowering prices. It's normally all the cost factors x 3.

And I feel confident that the M-Dela owner's bad attitude & demeanor will change. Spending a couple of days with Robert will totally change all that....Yeah right, lol.

Yeah. I just remember when I initially went there I thought the prices were relatively high for a pizza place on Jefferson HWY. His specialty pies were almost $20 after tax if I recall correctly.

I'm guessing the owners demeanor & attitude is why the place got picked for the show. Normal people don't make for exciting tv viewing. That's almost like hitting the lottery if a place gets picked for the show.
