If the game's irrelevant….Tiger Fans leave early!

If the season gonna be irrelevant….Tiger players leave early!

Don't you think if the players thought we had a chance for a championship, they'd stay?

WRONG - if the player thinks the next year is irrelevant as it pertains to his draft status...Tiger players leave early!

Which teams that have a chance for a championship next year aren't having players leave early this year? Surely there are a number of them. I'll hang up and listen.

Yeah like Jamarcus Russell the year before we won the title.

Or Patrick Peterson or Stevan Ridley

players treat college the same way everyone does: to prep them for their future job.

I get people upset about some of the departures last year but it's really tough to argue that any of the offensive skill guys weren't ready

Playing football in college for these guys is like their major. Imagine if you were studying engineering and after your third year IBM came to you and said, "We don't care about you finishing your degree we won't to hire you and pay you lots of money right now." Would you stay or go get paid???? And you don't even have to factor in a risk of a career ending injury. I know what I would do. I never fault a kid who goes to fulfill a dream and get money.

it's because LSU constantly has the most talented team in the country.

note: talent doesn't always transfer to victories.

As it's been stated numerous times, they have an opportunity to go make great money so they are taking it. Nothing wrong at all with that. Who here would not have left college early if they were given a job making a few hundred grand to a million at that age? And it's being selfish to want them not to leave as we just want them to play football for LSU. It would be different if everyone was worried about them not getting their degree but that's not the case. I for one am excited about seeing LSU mentioned more often on Sundays now with all the guys we send up. Good luck to those young men and Geaux Tigers.

This reminds me wy I don't visit the rant that often.

1. The NFL has put the rookie salary cap in place.

2. Money paid to 1st Rounders and 3-4th Rounders aren't that different.

3. The big money contract will be a player's second contract after their rookie deal.

4. The sooner you get in the league, the sooner you get your second deal. Regardless of where you were drafted.

5. There is no reason to come back to help your draft status.

6. Players leaving early will become the new norm in college football.
