Rivers + Roberts were great tonight.

Offensively the best game I've ever seen from the two. They both were remarkable on that end and made some plays that kept us in it...

Roberts was still bad on defense
AR should start at PG imo

Ok, I get that support for the Pels, but are either Roberts or Rivers players that could potentially be pieces to a championship team? Are they part of the "rebounding/rebuilding" process.
Honestly, I think no. I believe we've seen close to the best of these 2, and neither, at their best consistently, are good enough.
Are they valuable "tank" pieces though? Absolutely.

Vs. Tony Parker....
I think both are adequate backup PGs. Who else, realistically, do you think we should have as a backup point guard? Literally who? Because, in my opinion, they both bring something offensively to the table- Robert's shooting & Rivers driving. And both are around league average for backup PGs.
And in case you hadn't noticed, Rivers has done his fair share of improving this season. He's learning to finish at the rack and even hit a 3 tonight. So are they pieces on a championship team? Yes you ignoramus. They are backup PGs, nothing more.

Rivers is obviously in the twilight of his career at his age. Nowhere to go but down now.

Roberts had a good game last night. I still think Rivers is better and has more up side considering he is in his 2nd year.
He has improved a lot this season from last season.
Agreed on the defense, i would get mad at Roberts then take it back because it is Tony Parker.

Rivers played alot smarter than EG. That dude was out of control on several occasions. The lone smart play of the night was bringing it in the paint to get Duncan to foul out.

Roberts yes, but Rivers? He is in his second year, ended last season early with an injury, and barely gets minutes this season. How can we possibly know what Rivers will be when we haven't even had an adequate sample size to see what he is now?

If you went back and watched that game you would notice that Tony Parker wasn't using a bag of tricks on Roberts. He was simply running around the court unimpeded. It would have at least been nice to see Rivers D up on him for more than a couple possessions. He made Patty Mills look bad last night.

Roberts played very well for being Brian Roberts
AR should start/play starter minutes. I still don't understand why he isn't getting the majority of the PG minutes now that Jrue is out.

Well I lost all respect for your opinion just with this.
