Need to get my washing machine looked at. Won't agitate or spin. Don't feel like trying to fix it myself. Any good recommendations?

It is likely a 3 dollar part that is broken.

Could be just the keeper I think they're called. Less than 5$. I live in NOLA so no help with a rec.

I had a dryer stop working. It was the wiring that was blown. If you can do a quick visual diagnostic.

Its probably the wig-wag(real part name) fairly easy to change.

Worst advice every given for any appliance.

Just today I picked up a Whirlpool Duet dryer. Customer bought a new one, paid me to take old one away. I get it in my shop, vacuum it out. Find out a $3 thermal fuse has gone bad. A $3 part, caused these people to go spend over $800 on a new machine.

The stuff I see people throwing machines out for is comical.
You can get it fixed for around $100 on most problems. Don't deal with Sears, A-1 or Conn's or anyone who charges $125 just to come out.

OP you have a bad coupler, if you can hear a motor, if it drains you have a bad lid switch. Each are cheap and would cost less than $30 in parts.
