1. they are the cubs. google the word cub.
2. The Cubs have younger fans. That is who mascots tend to be for.

PedoCub would have been a nice choice.
As long as the Cubs get Tanaka (despite his struggles hitting against lefties - best thread of the offseason), I don't give a frick who the mascot is.

surprisingly one of the three teams remaining without a mascot, the Angels, were owned by Disney
