I've never dealt with a Browning meat grinder, but they have decent reviews. Academy in Hammond had them marked down yesterday. Thought about buying one, but I don't have anything to grind

I have a Villaware hand-crank grinder that I also use to stuff sausage. $25-30 at Academy 5 years ago. It works fine, but it is so slow I can only recommend it if you do 1 deer a year.

Edit: That LEM (above) with the foot switch looks like the ticket.

do you only use your foot switch when you're stuffing sausage? I can't figure out why you would need a switch to grind.

My wife bought me the cabelas 1/2 hp commercial grade with foot control for Christmas. I'm very impressed with it. I think with the foot petal it was close to 400

They work really good for stuffing sausage. but I find, when stuffing Deer/Wild pork with hot pepper cheese and green onion it easier to use the grinder.

This is what I have and was the best thing I bought for hunting big game in over 35 years.

They are on sale. Do buy the foot control too. Bought mine this season and it's a win win.

I will have to try that. It is tough with cubes of cheese.

I got the hand grinder because it was cheap. I had just bought property were I only saw one deer the whole first year and thought it was all I needed. I planned to just use this until it broke, but I'm starting to realize it is never going to break.

What your budget? I do have a meat grinder from Harbor Freight that works great for small batches.

I have the cheap one from cabelas. Have never had a problem with it. Did 100 lbs for sausage a couple weeks ago. The stuffer is what makes life easier while making sausage.
