Tampa movie shooting today

quote:

Fox News confirms one victim has died as a result of the shooting. The shooting happened during the previews before a showing of “Lone Survivor.” According to the Pasco County sheriff, the suspected shooter became upset when the victim's cell phone made noise during the movie. An argument between two couples ensued. The shooter pulled out a pistol and fatally shot the man and wounded the female companion.

I know it's not right to shoot someone over not turning off their cell phone.....but we have no system of punishing inconsiderate fricks.

"you people" tolerate them, your father tries to complain about a meal to get a free dessert, your mother returns used clothing as if she never wore them, your brother double parks, your sister is faking disability, your aunt uses your grandma's handicap placard....do you do or say anything....or "it ain't my problem"?

I try not to, but I have caught my mom abusing my grandparents' handicap tag and parking in a handicap spot when my grandparents weren't in the car. I got on to her about it and she claims that was the only time she did that, but I was still disappointed in her. I got in her car and moved it a lot farther out so she'd have to still walk a ways to get back to her car.

I also get highly annoyed at people who leave a shopping cart right by their car instead of returning it to where it needs to go.

Inconsiderate people really get on my nerves.

Ain't my problem. Couldn't care less about other people being inconsiderate. They're gonna do it anyway so why bother. I'm sure we all do things others view as inconsiderate. It's their problem how they want to handle it.

I disagree.

Anyway, if someone that I know slips up and does something inconsiderate then I let them know. I generally find that it's just a slip up, and it isn't done because they don't care. I screw up sometimes, and I appreciate having people let me know that I didn't think something all the way through. If it seems like it is done without regard then I try not to associate myself with that person.

Social shaming needs to come back into vogue IMO.

This pisses me off sooo much. Why would someone be such an a-hole? You are costing someone a parking spot by not putting your basket up. I think anyone who does this is probably the biggest POS imaginable. I have never actually caught someone in the act, though. Who are the typical culprits?

Might have been dumb to leave your phone on but now this guy is going to jail for 25 to life for his tough guy act.

"people" with kids....can't leave kids alone, so they say "frick it, they have people who work here that collect them".....I usually try to grab a cart from someone leaving and use that for my shopping.

On the grocery store subject, my issue is the people who use self check-out who either, A) have a handful of vegetables and have to look up every code, or B) aren't coordinated enough to quickly scan their item, put it in the bagging area, and get the next item before the machine makes an employee come over. Or C) they just have too much shite and need to be in the regular line. Of course, this option usually includes problem A, the vegetables.

ETA: To answer the original question in the OP, I just stand there, get irritated, and say nothing. I'm not one to make a scene in public. I just resort to bitching to the internets.

I caught a cop doing it once... I stopped what I was doing, grabbed the cart, stared him down and pushed it to where it needed to go, then returned to my car.

Can't stand those people either. It's tolerated b/c no one does anything about it. Same with Houston drivers.
