This is what Mort is saying on ESPN right now
If true, NFL teams are dumb. Not that i think he would be a slam dunk hire for anyone, but thats a terrible reason to not hire someone for a football coach position

I'll be honest. If I'm the GM of an NFL team, I won't hire him and this is part of the reason. Appearances mean a lot.

ESPN has to have something to talk about - they never have any real scoop. They report every possible scenario and hope it sticks.

He makes no mention of qouting gm's. He said if williams was coach thats what we would be hearing "cause they were direct head shots"

What in the frick. Neither shot on him was a "direct head shot" or anything remotely dirty. The first one was borderline on whether it should have even been a penalty.
And I hope he grows his hair down to his knees and gets even sloppier.

If I were an owner, I would want my head coach to be a little smoother around the edges. Yeah I could see owners saying that. Part of being a head coach is setting an example for your players, whom you also want to present themselves as professionals.
People say that shite doesn't matter but most wouldn't apply that logic to their own lives. You wouldn't want important professional in your life looking slovenly like he does.

It's a football coach. Hell Belichek wears cutoff hoodies. If you can coach, it shouldn't matter...but I'm not surprised they feel this way.
But he's not a HC imo anyway.

If a former football player ever ends up owning a team, then I would say it wouldn't matter. Until then these $10k-suitwearing types will be the ones to own a team, and they expect their coaches to look a certain way.
