I'm beginning to think my PS4 was a waste. I rarely play it cause of the lack of games.

It's like this at the beginning of every console life cycle. I haven't paid attention to what's out there for the next gen, but the games will come.

I liked it. It's has a very fast paced battle system that is action based (where as Final Fantasy is turn based). It's a steal at $10.

How is it different any previous console launch? I 'd argue it's better with these past two generations of consoles because a lot of games have higher replayability with online features/multiplayer.

If you've played a Tales game in the past and enjoyed it, yes. If you've not played a Tales game in the past, watch a trailer of the battle system. If it seems interesting to you, then yes. I definitely enjoyed it.
It's pretty standard fare in terms of story telling, at least for JRPGs, but it's the battles that separate the Tales series and why I enjoy them.

I will be getting Tales of Xillia, Rain, Peace Walker, and Velocity Ultra.
I knew I was still going to play my PS3 more than my PS4 because there are not as many game, but they will come. Next month we get Outlast for free and Second Son comes out in March.
