Yes, because we'd be the #2 seed with a bye.

How well does Josh Gordon run a RB screen route?

josh Gordon's contract is peanuts

and if you don't think paying your quarterback $2o million per is a bad idea then I cannot help you.

for that money, a qb needs to carry the team...manning does it, brees doesn't. He's still great, just not worth that kind of annual dough in terms of performance.

I hope we keep hitting on our draft picks because we won't be resigning a lot of guys and if we fail to keep finding draft gold then we're fricked as far as being serious super bowl contenders.

Cleveland was trying to trade him for a second round pick and nobody wanted that deal. I think everyone would take that now

don't tell me that. That makes me want to puke. The stage 3 is a monster concern, but totally worth the risk. The best receiver in football for a second round pick...

No.

The Saints still would have been undefeated at home.

They still would have refused to stick with the running game.

Because the running game was no threat, teams still would have played deep and forced the Saints to work the flats and underneath routes.

Brees still would have gotten pummeled in St. Louis, Carolina and Seattle(unless Gordon was a great interior blocker)

The weather conditions still would have been shitty in Seattle thereby forcing the Saints to abandon any down-field passing game.

Let's ask Tampa, Arizona,Minnesota,Cleveland,Jacksonville,Oakland,Jets,
Houston, Tennesse, Buffalo or Miami how much they would shell out for a quarterback.

Look how well the Pelicans are doing without Chris Paul.

No I didn't. It sucks for sure with the cap we have but I would have done it then and today.

You would have let him walk and thats fine.

No. WRs weren't the issue. QB and HC were.

so many ways loomis fricked this up

1. he waited...which not only upped the price but left us unable to retain nicks
2. he gave tons of shite contracts beforehand. Yeah, he didn't know manning was going to sign a monster deal, but it's his job to plan for shite like that
3. reason with him, pay him the same, but tell him you cannot go down for 20 in the first 2 seasons because I'm a retard with a history of giving mediocre to below average players monster deals

that's what it cost to keep him and yes you do it, but everything else was fricked. This is before we get to the part where I tell you only one qb gets that money because he will drag your team to 13 wins every year...and that qb isn't drew brees.
