Just to show everyone the difference in an Elite WR and an Elite TE...

Jimmy Graham

Catches
0 = 1 game (Also had one in 2010 against PIT)
1-3 = 5 Games (Including the Playoffs)

First Half of Season (Thru Week 8) - 49 REC, 746 Yards, 10 TDs, 5 100 Yard Games

Second Half of Season (Week 9-16) - 37 REC, 469 Yds, 6 TDs, 1 100 Yard Game

Calvin Johnson

Catches
0 = Never in his career. He has only been held to 1 catch in 1 game once in his career, during his rookie year. Otherwise, he has had 2 or more in every game.

1-3 = 3 Games (He was injured and missed most of one of them)

Brandon Marshall

Catches
0 = Never in his career. He has at least 1 catch in every game he was on the field

1-3 = 4 Games since 2011 Season

AJ Green

Catches
0 = Never in his career

Dez Bryant

Catches
0 = Only 1 time and it was in 2010 against the Saints

If he wants to make WR money, someone should tell his agent he needs to play like a WR

His production doesn't determine his position.

It does determine how you are paid in in relation to your peers.

sure it does, if we're paying him high end-WR (like CJ/LF money), we're kind of overpaying for him. he's a giant, he can out jump and get touchdowns, but physical DBs shut him down this year. You can argue the injury, but great receivers don't get completely shut down, even injured. What player doesn't get injured during the course of the season? Megatron had brachial plexus nerve damage last year, which makes it hard as hell to grab the ball/use your hands, was never blanked and he broke records last year.

also played with a partially torn plantar fascia from Week 6 until the end of the season. Wouldnt expect you internet nerds to understand that though.

The number of snaps were Jimmy lined up will determine his position franchise tag position. The amount a team is willing to pay will determines his value.

And he has an issue with his elbow I believe. An 80% Graham doesn't play like a 100% Graham

we should have taken care of this in 2012 like we should have taken care of Brees in 2010. We've cost ourselves at least 1 very good FA due to this

This is kind go a silly metric. In any event, he'll get WR money eventually. Even if it's after the tag and from another team.

his inability to block really hinders the play calling. he gets shut down because the defense knows not to play the run against him. like most have said, hes not worth a crippling contract. the money would be better spent else where.

JG will not have the same success in another organization as he has had in NO. I watched him in particular against the Seahawks and I noticed he doesn't run great routes or block very well, which hinders his ability to get open during physical coverages.

so a team is going to give up 2 first rounders + WR money?

Yes, another reason he won't get top tier WR money. That is a perm injury that will never full go away. He will always deal with that the rest of his career.

Antonio Gates has it too.

link? He can have surgery done if need be

Once it tears (via surgery or stress), it is a 4-6 week recovery time. The problem is that he never fully tore it

True but because it is the tendon that is always being used when walking/running, it will always be an issue. Because he didn't tear it only means that when he does, he will be out for 4-6 weeks.

Regardless, he will have to deal with this for the rest of his career since it will never heal to 100%

I partially tore mine back in 2010 and it isn't even a thought. Most painful thing I've ever been through, and I can't believe he played on it.

I got blasted for saying this earlier.

The best case is Loomis can use JG's disappearance as leverage in the negotiations. I want Jimmy to stay, but not for an obscene amount of money. We just cant do it.
