I finished Season 1 (all 3 episodes 
) on Netflix this weekend and was thoroughly impressed.
I'm a big fan of Doyle's Holmes character and never thought any actor could come close to Jeremy Brett's portrayal in the Granada Television series. I think Benedict Cumberbatch comes close.

Actually season 3 is over. It started on Jan 1 and the third episode was Jan 11.

To be clear, the 3 Season 3 episodes aired already on BBC in the UK. The show premieres in the U.S. on Sunday, Jan 19th on PBS Masterpiece. Which means you have time to watch Season 2 on Netflix, and enjoy Season 3 without the 2+ year wait that the rest of us had to endure.
