Why not? He's from Alabama and been a Bama fan his whole life. Plus he only makes $500,000 a year. Bama could more than double that.

Travis Jones, DL coach for the Seahawks - worked under Saban at LSU and with the Dolphins.

Tim Walton, DC for the Rams - Worked under Saban at LSU.

Smart calls the plays at Bama. Now it is Saban's defense that Smart is running, and Saban has a big hand in the game planning and strategy part of it. But Smart does call the plays.
