2009
We went 9-3 with Jordan Jefferson at QB and Charles Scott as our bellcow back while coming off of the worst defense performance since Lou Tepper in the year prior.

Anthony Jennings is young and we are likely losing the best WR tandem in LSU history. BUT

We are looking at the possibility of returning our entire OL, Jeremy Hill, Terrance Magee, and adding Leonard Fournette. Adding Jenning's mobility to the equation is going to make Auburn's offense look like a joke.

I have questions about the LSU interior DL, but returning Rasco and Hunter is a plus, the linebackers will be solid... and we will have Robinson, Jefferson, White, and Martin to make the best secondary we've had since PP, Mo, and Mathieu.

Bama loses McCarron
Auburn loses Mason
aTM loses Manziel
Florida is in shambles
Our rotating opponent is Kentucky.

Per the other thread on this topic, I think a very unimpressive, grind it out 11-1 is a good FLOOR for this team.

I honestly expect a 2-4 loss team in 2014. In 2015, I think we will compete for the National Championship.

IF Hill/O-Line stay, I think we'll contend for the national championship.

D should be pretty damn good. Hopefully we can have a decent passing game because the running game will be good

If we can get a Mauck/Flynn "manager" type to emerge, we may just be makin a run to the 'ship!

11-1 is a FLOOR??? Pretty optimistic. And prob not realistic since the passing game will take a step back.

I think we got one in Jennings, but he's gonna need time to develop.

I'm thinking it's a 12-2/11-3 season. Good shot at the SECCG.

Saying 11 -1 is the floor is a bit much. Its on the table along with being undefeated. We could be worse then this year though if qb doesnt step up. Next year is a big question mark. We for sure will run a ton and play good d. My question is what will cam do when we play a team that can stop the run/bama ? If we have a qb step up and have a complementary pass game to suit our run we could be nasty.

Take out Martin and add in thompson or a freshman, Jamal Adams or Voorhies. but still nothing will ever be as good as the old DBU days

I think we will be OK, but how can you say that the linebackers will be solid?

I wrote basically the same post this morning.

I said 11-1. I am only talking about regular season, of course.

Call me crazy, but I think its dependent on CC returning as OC. At this point, he may be more valuable to the program than Les Miles, especially with all the young QB talent on board.

As long as he's aboard, the offense should be in good shape, Les and Chavis need to get the D back up to LSU standards, and we'll be fine..ie as in natty contenders year in year out.
