Not trying to troll but damn... At least give Brees one more play to toss it up to his tall playmakers.

They would have just ran a screen on the last play it would have been embarrassing no matter what.

My guess is he panicked and thought the game clock had run out. Poor situational awareness, pretty consistent with how our offense performed today

No excuse for it. Doesn't matter if you haven't been throwing hte ball that well. You get it inside the 40 with a 10 million dollar QB like Brees you give him a shot to win the game for you.

He definitely was told to go for the lateral pass - no way he does it on his own.

I thought that first, but Sproles wouldn't be hauling arse down the other side of the field if that was the case. It was a called play that just wasn't executed properly.

I guess so... I guess the entire CBS crew, 95% fans on this board, and probably 80K fans in Seattle are just stupid fricks???

Whatever makes you feel better... I kept saying the tip pass for a score for AU was a designed play as well. It made me feel less drunk...

I dont need to feel better. the chance that we would have scored a td if he had stepped out is less than if that play wasnt a forward lateral IMHO. It was a good call IMHO.
