Agreed with Cajun Claws and Crawfish Hut, but at Cajun Claws you'll have to show up at 3:30 to put your name down and won't be eating until 8:30-9ish (from experience about two weeks ago). It's still fun to drink in the bar for the wait though.

Cajun claws is the BEST! They only serve select & the entire staff is family. They are only open every other weekend as of now, but it's well worth it. Make no plans for the entire evening and have a few beers at the bar. You won't be sad.

They sell them by the pound for you to eat on site? I'll look them up next week.

Absolutely not a family member- I didn't even grown up anywhere around Abbeville; I did live there briefly while in undergrad, though. I am married to Epic Cajun who is from the area.
