Scar thing is not only do we have LF and KT committed already, but we have Ed Alexander (2016) and Dylan Moses (2017) with a legit shot at being #1 in their respective classes.

I'm guessing he means overall in rankings. I'm thinking it's never happen, unless you count Josh Booty.

Faulk, Shep and Freak came close.

Not since I've been following LSU recruiting, 1995, has LSU hauled in the consensus No. 1 player in the country - which hardly there is ever a consensus (Clowney, Nkemdiche, AP)

The highest is Randle at No. 2 overall by Rivals.

Other high notables: Doucet, La'El, Spears, PP - believe all were consensus top-5 prospects.

LF will be the first consensus (composite) no.1.

I am almost positive Ryan Perilloux was a Parade #1 if not overall #1 in the country. I have to Google this but it upsets me of what could have been achieved.

Using Rivals since 247 won't let me search that far back

LF is #3 behind Peppers, Hand
Randle was #2 behind Bryce Brown
Peterson was #5 behind Pryor, Bowers, Adams, and Julio
Doucet was #3 behind Peterson, Ginn Jr

Sanchez was higher regarded than RP. RP was still a consensus top-10 prospect.
