Anyone been to Uncle O's lately?

Thinking of going to see Ouncie and have some of his gumbo. It's been awhile. Just wondering how's he's doing since we haven't had a thread on it for quite some time.

I've had lunch there recently a couple of times. Seems like he gets a pretty good lunch crowd. The gumbo is worth going for and he makes a good potato salad.

Also, both Uncle O's and Dempsey's on Coursey need to check how their staff handles the phones. It almost sounds as if you're bothering them at times when you call in a to-go order.

Ouncie always could make a good gumbo. I can't say I've had his potato salad. I'll have to try it.

Haven't found anything else on their menu that's worth going there for.

Crab bisque is also worth the trip. Usually steady at night, not packed.
