Baton Rouge Community College professor Robby Burleigh was arrested Wednesday afternoon following an incident that involves one of his students who is pregnant.

The student is 22 years younger than Burleigh, according to reports.

According to the probable cause report, the victim stated she was a student of the accused and their relationship began at school. The document also described Burleigh as dragging the victim over to a gun-safe and him stating "you're going to commit suicide today."

"The sheriff's department spoke to the complainant and she stated that Burleigh had thrown her to the floor, pinned her down, pulled her hair, and broke her phone. Various things due to the argument that they were having," says Casey Hicks of the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office.

Wow. I've known Robbie for years but haven't heard his name in quite a while. I find this story to be suspect.

Let's get something straight: I don't condone what the guy did. But if you're going to kill someone, then this is a bad arse kill line.

LOL I knew him back in the day. He was a Bayou regular at LSU. I would have never guessed in a million years that he would become a college professor.

Ha! Me either. Although I haven't seen him in 5+ years this story doesn't seem to fit the guy at all. Robbie was a super chill low key kinda dude. I honesty don't think the dude ever got mad about anything and there were plenty opportunities to back then.
