Figured I'd add another update:
Used Evolve Money to pay my car note. Worked fine.
So that confirms the whole process for me. Nice having a convenient load option that doesn't involve a Walmart run.

Did you load gift cards one at a time and it send one lump sum to your lender?

I believe there is also a daily limit of $1,000 so if you have a large payment it has to be broken up between days...could be wrong though.

I also read that on Wells Fargo mortgages you need to instruct them to apply payments from Evolve to your monthly balance and not just to principal.

Two separate $200 payments.
As for mortgages, it sounds like they all go to principal from what I've read. I might try blue birding it and see if that works better since I can make one lump payment.

Where is the best place to find the best deals going on currently? I've seen that the initial offers will vary from time to time and I'm thinking about getting an airline card or perhaps the Chase Sapphire Preferred card, but I want to get the biggest bang for my buck.

I usually either peruse the Flytertalk Forums regarding Credit Card Programs or travel/credit card blogs.
They'll post about the newest and greatest within about 5 minutes after one goes live.

If you want airline miles jump at the AA Citi card offer for 100k (if you can handle the $10,000 spending req in the first 3 months)

I really do not understand the value of the Mercedes Benz card over the Amex Plat

I bluebird my mortgage every month with a check and no problems...heard horror stories through the online bill pay but no problems with checks.

Good to know. I just got a stack of bluebird checks so I'll probably go that route.

I don't get the allure of that Benz card either. I think some of these bloggers are getting paid more for that card's referrals than others.

i just got the arrival a month ago
i don't see anything there that would make me want to request the new one
seems like the fee version is almost the same save for a few minor tweaks
