Sorry. I had just remembered reading a blog about using USAir in Star Alliance after merger announcement. Didn't realize blog post was old.

Is the USAir card still available with the 50k? I know the deadline is approaching.

Yep. Won't be for long. 2-3 months max. Might even be discontinued this month.

I currently have a Chase Freedom card for the last 7+ years probably. I'm thinking about getting one more cash back credit card. What do yall think about the Citi double cash back card or the AMEX blue cash card? Or is there another card I'm missing?

Depends on how much spend on grocery/gas purchases. If you do several thousand in grocery/gas, you may even consider the blue cash preffered annual fee card.

Wal marts are typically coded as superstores or something along that line

The Wal Mart neighborhood market is coded as Grocery Store for my amex BCP.

Please report back if you find any. I found some at a Racetrac on the West Bank, but the system would not allow them to be purchased with CC.

Stopped at a Murphy's and another non-major chain(name is escaping me at the moment) and neither had >$100 gift cards available. I'll casually look and update if I find something.

I'm guessing this is unlikely as it seems to be a pretty unique and not highly discussed redemption, but is anybody familiar with Choice Hotel points?

They have some pretty nice redemptions in the "Choice Preferred" group. With the Amtrak CC you can transfer Amtrak points to Choice points at a 1:3 ratio. Amtrak is a partner of Chase Ultimate Rewards. So, for 10k-20k Chase UR points you can stay at some really nice local properties.

Looky here

I feel like I'm missing something. How do I get the points from Amtrak to Choice Hotel?

ETA: Nevermind, you had to have the card.

American Express Platinum - Deer Valley Resort

If you like to ski and you like to do it at Deer Valley, it appears that the platinum card is rolling out a centerion lounge on the DV slopes as well as running buy 4 nights get a 5th free.

DV is my favorite ski resort but I can't afford an annual trip there. If I was OT rich, these perks would be well worth the annual fee to me - the 5th night free is at least $800 minimum at DV.
