I was at that game and I dont think it was televised but you might inquire at WBRZ or WAFB sports departments that might have some archives of highlights. Like you said, I have only seen clips on YOutube. Certainly there have been many discussions but from the beginning to the end, it was the loudest Ive ever witnessed at Tiger Stadium and the only time where I remember the crowd still standing and giving our Tigers a roar of approval even in a losing effort.

All I've found are short clips.

The game was replayed by ESPN before they began doing live telecasts. I would think they have the full tape in their vaults. Be nice if they'd replay it sometime.

But were you rocking the USC busses on the east side of the stadium on Friday Night???!!! That USC team had 3 NFL... NFL... Hall of Famers. Two Heisman Award Winners and 12 first round draft choices on it. Unreal talent pool.

So it's safe to say they were GOAT to play in tiger stadium?

I was there, never been prouder to be a Tiger, even the Southern Cal players said after the game, "we do not want to play here, ever again". One player said, "I could not hear myself yelling out signals". One also said, "talk about pull one out of our asses, I mean we were whipped and but good". A very controversial call gave the game to S.Cal.

Ask the USC team of 1979 what was the one game that stood out in their mind; they will answer like Ronnie Lott said: "LSU 1979"

I have Espn version and USC version of the game on DVD.

I am missing the LSU broadcast team version.

I have most of about 3 1/2 quarters of the game on audio. I had set my recorder to run as I left for the game. The tape ran out on the TEAC recorder. Great game, the best I've been to in tiger stadium. As I left the stadium one of the USC fans told me "you guys have spirit" ...no kidding!!! Announcers were John Ferguson Walter Hill and Brother Martin Coach (I think-Name?)

I was there too, my sophomore year.

It was definitely loud. Louder than most, maybe all of the ones I've been to.
