seems like everyday there's a news report of a drug bust or burglary, car theft, etc.

Wonder if anyone has statistics to show one way or the other?

Well that's in the City of Gonzales and IMO the City of Gonzales is becoming a dumpster fire. The demographics are ever changing and the new council is run by idiots. It's not going to change for the better any time soon... It'll be just like Baton Rouge before you know it.

Ascension as a whole is still a good place to live but just like every rapidly growing community with prosperity comes the crack heads!

Myself, neighbors, and some friends in St. Amant have all been hit by car burglars and in one case, even a home burglary within the last few months in the Gonzales, St. Amant, and Prairieville areas. Cops said for some reason it's become a fricking epidemic (his words, not mine) in the last 6 months or so in the AP. They know for a fact it's not the same people and that it's both whites and blacks.
This started when meth started getting to be a huge problem in the AP too. I blame Livingston.

It has to be. Anytime the population increases, lets face it, crime will increase.
