Before I get grilled for having less than 10 posts, I'm a recent LSU grad and for more than a year have just enjoyed reading/laughing at Tiger Nation and all It's wisdom. Since I'm a Texas Tiger and was unfortunately a Tiger Stadium virgin before attending LSU, I haven't attended as many games as most. So for healthy discussion/rebuttal, what is your loudest Tiger Stadium experience? Mine is South Carolina, 2012. Coming off a loss to Florida, "The Jungle" came out the entire night and took down #3 South Carolina.

NO

I still say it's the 97' win over #1 Florida. Some games have come close, 03' UGA, & 12' Bama game but loudest sustained crowd noise has to be 97' Florida.
I will say that both the 79' game vs USC & the 82' game vs FSU (the night it rained oranges) were pretty damn loud considering the difference in seating capacity between then & now. If the stadium would've held 92K+ for either of those games, the seismograph machine may have exploded!

If Brandon LaFell wants to call LSU "The Jungle" for his player intro, so can I.

'79 USC was not as loud as '07 Florida and several other games. It was an amazing game which obviously was loud, but the perpetuation of the legend of that game as the loudest is just not accurate.

USC is the answer. Also, Florida St. when it rained oranges was special.

This is hard to say.

a few come to mind.

1997 Florida
2007 Florida
2000 Tennessee
1995 Auburn is just a few

I will say this.

Most overlooked game: 2001 Mississippi State

Loudest day game: 2003 Georgia

I respectfully disagree. Both were loud but you were dealing with less people in '79.

I think this argument is subjective.

Unfortunately wasn't a student back in '07 so my loudest was either Florida '09 before the game and then FL jumped out the gates or Bama last year. I don't know though
