Have you ever won a sweepstakes?

Not talking about a raffle. I am talking about a sweepstakes from a company. I usually register for a sweekpstakes if it is from a company that I know, but I feel like it is just a ploy to get my contact info.

true story.
- the 600 mill sweepstakes was sold at a newstand i walked past in atlanta on the same day when my wife and i were hanging out there in december
- the 47 mill one from last week was sold at the shell gas station 1 mile from my house in nashville.

I won stick kid of the game at a Kingfish hockey game as a child. I got an autographed hockey stick and got to walk out on the ice during the game.
It was a sweepstakes I guess. Had to give them info and stuff at a bank in the area I believe.

i got the worst two properties in the mcdonalds monopoly once. I won like a $50 gift certificate. I checked the odds of winning that way and it was like 18,000 to 1.

I'm typing on an iPad I won on a promotional contest. But the biggest was the first day of lottery scratch offs in Louisiana. First time I had ever bought a scratch off ticket. Went to a local store, a lady and I reached the door at the same time. Being a gentleman paid off because holding the door for her put her in line in front off me, otherwise she gets the ticket I bought. Well maybe. I went in intending on buying 5 tickets but"splurged" and bought 10. Took them home, sat at the table and on the 7th one had three $5,000s. I thought "surely I don't understand the game". Went back to the store and the clerk (and everyone still in line) confirmed I had a winner. Had to go to the local headquarters to get paid.

My roommate at the time won a 55 or so inch vizio in a sweepstakes on their website

In one of the mountain dew contests a couple years ago for Halo Reach I had several friends give me bags of those caps.I ended up with like 4-500 of them and I ended up winning a custom halo 360 and a copy of the legendary edition of halo reach.

Was a finalist in a contest where the first prize was a Jaguar XKE. Wound up along with 50 other 'lucky winners' with 4th place. The prize? 2 months worth of cat food. The local animal shelter was more than happy to come get it.
